Information provision and data protection
The Cyber Security Council is of the opinion that all organisations in the Netherlands must have access to up-to-date, reliable and comprehensible information to make themselves resilient against cyber attacks. In 2017, the council issued advice on the introduction of a National Covering System of information hubs. In practice, the rollout of this turns out to be more difficult than expected. Good steps are being taken in the formation of the National Covering System , but the pace must be accelerated and legal obstacles must be removed as quickly as possible. The council also wants citizens and businesses to be better protected digitally by making secure login means more widely available. There must be a system in which citizens and companies can safely do business digitally with both public and private services.
